The Paso de Contadores is the pass at the far end of the valley of Sella.
The pass gives axcess to the Guadalest valley. The narrow pass was and
still is used by the shepherd to count (in Spanish contar) the goats or
the sheep.
This walk does not cross the pass, in order to cross it you can do the
walk Sella-Benimantell (see number
17).
For this walk you start at the refugio, at the foot of the pass you keep
right to stay in the valley and to slowly come back to the refugio. The
rewards for the gradual climb are great views to towards the Puig Campana
and the Castellet.
