This walk explores the northern slope of the Sierra de Aitana. The highest peaks here are the Aitana (1.558 m), Pena Alta (1.506 m), Pena Mulero (1.308 m) and Alto del Carrascal (1.200 meter). Centuries of erosion formed this spectacular mountain area with its enormous walls and refreshing springs.
The walk starts at Puerto de Tudons within the boundaries of the village
of Alcoleja.
From picnic area Font de L´arbre you walk to Font de la Forata,
where the descent starts to Font del Partegat and Benifato.
